The tremendous impact of the collision crushed and mangled several coaches, leading to the high number of fatalities and injuries.


Rescue and Recovery Efforts:

Promptly responding to the disaster, a massive recovery operation was launched, involving hundreds of emergency workers searching through the wreckage. More than 200 ambulances, along with numerous doctors, nurses, and rescue personnel, were dispatched to the scene to provide aid and medical assistance. The concerted efforts of these brave individuals have successfully rescued all trapped and injured passengers. While the severity of injuries among those taken to hospitals remains uncertain, all necessary measures are being taken to ensure their well-being.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, visited the accident site to assess the situation and extend support to the affected individuals. An investigation into the cause of the collision is already underway, with Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan suggesting "technical reasons" as a possible factor. Survivors and eyewitnesses have shared harrowing accounts of the chaotic scenes during the accident, as well as the heroic endeavors of nearby villagers to rescue trapped passengers.
